Citizens of the European Union have the right to free medical care and social security in Greece, provided they have obtained their national health insurance card from their country. A free medical service is available at the TEI daily. Non EU Citizens are required to bring their private health insurance translated into English.
For students coming to Crete for practical training, they must also have Private Health Cover in line with EU regulations and should ask for further details at their Home Erasmus Office.
