Introduction to the design, research, practice and evaluation of the new electronic musical instruments and interactive music systems. Electronic Musical Instrument: Types, Operation, and History. Musical instruments as interactive systems - Parts of a musical performance system - Mapping theories. Research Methodologies- Design Methodologies. Psychoacoustics- Ergonomics. Evaluation methods. Current research tendencies on the design of new music instruments.
