Dr. Charalambos Papadakis was born in Athens in 1977. He graduated in 2000 from the Department of Computer Science of the University of Crete. He received his Master's Degree from the Department of Computer Engineering and Informatics of the University of Patras in 2004 and a Ph.D. from the Computer Science Department of the University of Crete.
Today, he serves as Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Engineering of TEI. Crete, Heraklion, with a subject of "Distributed Services and Networks", and participates as a researcher in the research group "Networks and Distributed Systems Lab (NETDILab)", which belongs to the "Multimedia, Networks and Communications - MNC" Laboratory.
His educational work includes teaching courses (both undergraduate and postgraduate) such as "Distributed Systems and Computing Clouds", "Parallel Processing", "Computer Networks II" and "Distributed Systems and Applications".
At the same time he has participated in a large number of research projects (international and national), producing up to 30 scientific publications in international journals and conferences and having over 400 references. His research interests include Parallel and Distributed Systems, Peer-to-Peer Systems, Large-Scale Distributed Systems, Computer Networks, Big Data Mining, Graph Analysis, Recommender Systems, Blockchain Systems.
