We would like to welcome you to the webpage of the Department of Social Work of the TEI of Crete, located in the suburbs of the city of Heraklion. Our department was founded in the 1970s and is one of the oldest of similar departments in Greece. The primary goal of our program of studies is to prepare students for responsible, advanced, and creative practice in social work. To that end we have developed over the years a broad curriculum of undergraduate courses, combining the theoretical knowledge on all aspects of contemporary social work with the systematic practice of the student in real settings of social work practice.
