Learning outcomes

Graduates are expected to have the following knowledge :

  • They acquire modern integrated theoretical knowledge and knowledge of application relating to the subject of social work,
  • They derive knowledge from the methodology of social work and from relevant sciences deepening and broadening their knowledge on prevention and treatment of human problems and to study and meet the welfare needs of individuals, groups and communities,
  • They have a perception of modern knowledge and applications of social work,
  • They have a critical understanding of theories, principles-ethics and methodology of social work,
  • They understand and utilize theories of human development and behavior,
  •  They understand the way in which the oppression, discrimination and socio-economic inequalities contribute to complex problems that affect people's lives and recognize their own role in promoting social justice,
  • They acquire knowledge and experience in implementing  social work methods,
  • They acquire critical capacity for the development of social policy-welfare-social work and their impact on the functioning of social-service /organizations and their uses.

Graduates are expected to have the following skills:

  • They understand-analyze social problems to help to prevent and treat them, designing and implementing interventions at different levels (individual-group-community),
  • They tap into social research methods to develop and evaluate interventions and promote the upgrading of social policy at the local level and to acquire new knowledge,
  • They acquire knowledge and intervention skills in working with individual, family, group, community and social organization,
  • They modifies attitudes and behaviors through experiential learning thus obtaining a professional attitude and communication skills,
  • They acquire knowledge and skills for supportive counseling to individuals, families and groups.

Graduates are expected to have the following abilities:

  • They have the ability to provide effective implementation capacity of social work within the Organization, promoting changes aimed at improving the provision of social services,
  • They implement research, aiming to the submission of documented proposals promoting the social needs of recipients of care and at the coverage of community care needs,
  • With professional attitude and social responsibility they study, plan, and implement activities, contributing to meeting the welfare needs at the local level and the upgrading of their profession
